during my hazy college years of the late 70's, there were 3 "anthems" we listened to and sang along with (just like someone could do with early beatle songs 10 years earlier) every Saturday night: Iggys "Search and Destroy", the Ramones "I wanna Be Sedated" and "do Anything you wanna Do." each song satisfied an different need of someone in their late teens, on their way to adulthood, but this song reverberates the most to this day. thanks for the writeup. and i had no idea so many friggin bands did this song!
