Small Factory shares reefers with Pavement and steals Aerosmith's tour bus.
Whoever penned that blurb must have have imbibing some reefer himself, at least pertaining to the Aerosmith part of the equation. The standout selection here, "Off Red" (which even caught John Peel's ear) is indeed Malkmus-y, but more specifically a woozy, tremelo-enhanced slice of lo-fi fuzz rock for the ages.
A1. Sewing
A2. Cock Rock
B. Off Red

I think I saw them live a long, long time ago, because I am sure I have that 7", and the songs are familiar!
I just uncovered what may be the entirety of Facts About Israel's recording sessions - including the tracks: knx, off red, secret lover, sewing, more than a feeling, kitchen spins, cock rock and marigold. I was desperate to release their material on my label way back then...great stuff. 20 years later I unearthed a cassette from a friend of the band who was encouraging me to put out a follow-up single to the Torn Chord single -- the tape also includes unreleased recordings by Ultracindy and Lilys...what a find!
Would love to hear silver. Check out my email in my user profile. Thanks.
If this is Keith York reading this, you emailed me three huge attachments today that crashed my email client. Had to delete all of your emails just to get to my in-box. Email me again WITHOUT any attachments this time.
Never found anything from this band except the 7" played for me by my 90's indie-pop friends in high school. Loved one of the songs on here, but don't remember which one it is. i'd be grateful for a re-up whenever you get around to doing those.
I would be happy to post these files via DropBox if folks are interested. If anyone knows any of the former band members I would be delighted to get these songs mastered and released on vinyl. My copy is at least a 2nd or 3rd generation cassette recording from the master.
