...and tricks I could not learn in lava so hard.

From 1997.  A debut album that got absolutely everything right.  Sadly, the singer passed away late last month due to cancer.  This post is a tribute to him.

So lucky I got to see them twice in the same day back in the late 90s in San Francisco. Loved this album from the first few notes I heard. I was shopping in a small music store, heard one song, asked the clerk what it was, and bought it on the spot. At import prices, no less! I had no idea he was ill, but if you read his Twitter account, he was pretty damn upbeat.

Thanks for remembering one of the best power pop bands of the 90s/early 2000s.
