You made a vow so you better leave him right now.

A collection of early eps from one of Australia's most melancholy but engrossing propositions of the 1990s. Sorry for another week of non-posting. Some heavy stuff happening on my end, but will have something for you in the next day or so.

Australia had a great run of chiming powerpop in the mid 90s till early 00s.
Have you checked out Knievel. Steep Hill Climb album is wonderful, the opening track is a stunner. They're still going too. Also Gersey, have a bandcamp with albums and their latest one was really good too, although now a few years past. Big Heavy Stuff (Spinoff from The Ups and Downs who reformed and released a new album recently) started off as an indie gaze band but their final album dear friends and enemies was their high point. Greg the singer/writer/guitarist should be a national icon for Australia but he's ended up bit of a best kept secret. Thanks for this album, I'll look into them more. This is nice.

Just checking the recording credits and that's Wayne from Knievel producing and recording the first few songs. He's the king of this sort of sound.
