You’re under lock and key. I could break in, but I’ve never been a thief.

From 1995/1996.  An album with a complicated legacy.  Recorded two years in a row, by the same band, the latter under a new moniker with a wholly more enlightened perspective it would seem.  This is the 25-year anniversary remaster of the second iteration.  Immensely moving, poetic, and even empowering, with more than a few tear-jerking moments.  The title lyric grab was actually misheard by yours truly, but I still think my interpretation works better than the official phrasing.

Thank you. If I'd ever heard of them, I'd long forgotten. I just played the cover and that has whetted my appetite for the rest.

Wow, this is neat, thanks for it. Pretty rare to find a band that re-recorded and re-released their whole album like this - I can only think of these guys and Scarce.

I'm partial to the original recording, if only because it's the one I knew first, but love the direction they went as a band after the change. They have a few tracks as this version of the band that are absolute crushers.
