Looking for the house that dad built.

Pristine, melodically endowed jangle 'n strum greatness from 1989.

Love love LOVE this album!! Had the original cassette release and it was the soundtrack to my junior senior high school years. This group SHOULD have been bigger, and while they had a great sound, they didn't have the faces to match it (which is what I was told the assholes at MTV said at the time).
This album is a touchstone for me to those years in my life (first love, first heartbreak, first car, etc.)

Perfect album for spring, or anytime. If you like Husker du and the Replacements, spin this one.

Magnificent.

The producer of this album (who owned a record store in the area of the band) liked this group and these songs so much that he started his record company based on the strength of the writing. They were kids who came into his record store, and one day asked if he wanted to hear some of their songs. He believed in them that much.

I bought this record in the early 90s and I really enjoyed this underrated band so is a nice surprise to find it hear again.

I'll echo the previous comments. This band was unknown to me, but an absolute delight upon discovery. Thank you for all the musical goodness. Yours is the first site I check every morning when I log in.

Hi Spavid. Zippyshare has now blocked access to the U.K. so I am now unable to hear any of this great music. So infuriating.
