She's trying to pronounce my name...

If it's Monday, it's mysterious.  Since this week's offering is a bit larger than usual, I'll at least tell you this much - it's a two CD anthology of an '80s band.  Upon downloading and opening the file, for those not familiar with the group in question, may I suggest you dive in with disc two, and work your way backwards.

When Mystery Mondays started two weeks ago there were concerns raised about the accessibility of the Netkups link.  In short, if you're having difficulty, try again a little later.  Too many people hammering the link simultaneously is apparently giving their servers a headache.  With this in mind, I'll leave this up for a few hours past the usual twenty-four, k?  You're welcome to comment, just don't give away anything obvious.  Enjoy.

A group I could probably stand to learn more about as I am a big fan of one the members subsequent band.

I have one of their LP's and found it OK but not quite a winner for me. Haven't listened to it in ages, so this might send me back.

Thanks.

Ace K.

P.S. No problem with the download.

who was last week's mystery date?

Thanks Ace. I loved the "subsequent band" when I was in high school.

I dunno Joe. It'll have to remain a mystery...for now.

Let's please have a reup of the first MM, which was mentioned as a possibility last week. If it's a big favorite of yours, then it's undoubtedly something I'm going to enjoy. I've been away from WO and all other music downloading for more than a month, due to "real life" intruding, as it does occasionally. I got caught up on all the news last Monday--Rapidbastads and other host issues, etc--and don't even know where to begin to comment. Just thankful that you haven't gotten discouraged and given it up. I appreciate the reups on the recent posts, so I can grab what I would have otherwise missed forever, and I'm really impressed that you intend to try and reup the entire archive. I'm sure I've got most all of that stuff, having downloaded pretty much everything from the first post onwards, but it's nice to know it's out there for others to discover.

Thanks for the encouraging words Eric. For reasons I'm still trying to figure out (seriously), quitting was not an option. I guess this is my "baby" and I wasn't comfortable with the idea of mothballing the site. Will try to make the re-run of that first MM happen fairly soon, but no promises!
