But I've always hated that album cover because it sort of presented them as a boy band, and I think they kind of felt the same after the fact, esp. as that genre was quickly marketed to high school kids. Remember, folks, just because you're trying to be ironic doesn't mean people will pick up on the joke.
Yeah, I gotta give 'em credit, they did a good job not trying to go teen emo, touring with Grandaddy, Fire Theft, Rocket From The Crypt--seems like they saw the dangers up ahead. of course it didn't help them when they did try the major label route, but it is what it is, ya know?
