One of my favorite albums. The title of your post refers to a beautiful song. One of the greatest music-related experiences was my wife and I spending a night listening to this band perform, engaging in long conversations with them before and after, and sharing a few drinks with them before and after.

I knew what this was before I even clicked the link. One of those "happy discoveries" that came into my life due to a review (maybe in CMJ?) that made it sound irresistible to my Matthew Sweet loving self. One listen in, and I was in love with pretty much every song on the disc. Shades of indie rock, power pop, alt-country... all mixed together into one incredible album. Even the cover!... It evokes a sense of carefree summertime fun, AND wistful loneliness. And the band's from my original neck of the woods, to boot! A personal classic. I hope a lot of people grab this one before it's gone, so they can fall in love with too.

This is excellent! I was wondering if you had anything by the hardest band to google The Pop... Power Pop Criminals had their whole discography posted up once but the files are dead. Did you get a hold of them? https://www.discogs.com/artist/1163387-The-Pop

Please pardon the shameless plug: I have a couple of live sets by this band at my blog:

Glad you're enjoying this folks. It's humdinger. Appreciate the link Rob. Logan, you may want to try emailing the people at PPC. They're pretty good about refreshing dead links.
