Scrape the brain that stains up every wall...

Debut from 1992.  They called Seattle home, but you won't find much grunge buildup here.  Who knows?  You might even encounter a Kinks cover.

They had a few cool moments, but I could never really get into them. I expected more, I guess. I remember the night they came to play in the town where I was attending college and the DJ on the campus "Alternative Rock" station was urging all his listeners not to miss the show, promising that this band would one day be "HUGE" and that years later we'd all be telling people that we actually saw (Mystery Monday band) play at (name of crappy small college town weirdo bar). Really, he could not have been more excited or serious about it! But he was wrong. The band that did turn out to be all that was Sublime, who played to an audiance of about eight people around the same time and had such a good time doing it that they later included a photo of the exterior of (name of crappy small college town weirdo bar) in the CD booklet of their s/t album. I didn't see either show.

All that said, track 3 from Mystery Monday band's second album would probably be included in my Top Ten list of favorite songs from the '90s if I ever put a list like that together.

Glad you enjoyed this folks. You can check this band out on a Damned tribute compilation I shared awhile back:
