Let the speakers crackle and burn...

This week it's a 26-song singles compilation by a Leeds, UK combo who crafted some of the finest post-punk I've ever laid ears on.  Despite what you may have heard, these guys weren't just the province of gloomy goth kids.  It's a damn shame they're still not pumping out records like these, because they'd serve as the optimum antidote to all the genteel indie rock that's been clogging the toilet of late.  Can you tell I'm just a tad jaded?

Never knew where to start with these guys, so thanks for this. That is, assuming it turns out to be who I think it is. The download time is always an exciting time of unknowns. Welcome back.

Concurring what you say about "indie" "rock" today. I hear most of what "the kids are into these days" and can only think, "My parents would have enjoyed this." Youth; it's wasted on the young...

And thanks again for the tunes!

Is track 16 labeled correctly? It says it is a song called re-verb when it is really maybe just verb? Or maybe the action of the verb? If it is correct, where does it come from originally?

I think the titles of tracks 15 and 16 are reversed. 15 is "Regenerate," 16 is "Hold Yourself Down."
