I haven't listened to the file of The Fluid's set, but it was almost certainly recorded by Aadam Jacobs. He was a fixture at Chicago clubs during this period, especially Lounge Ax. He would almost always set up next to the sound board, sometimes patching into it. It is staggering to think of the music history sitting in this guy's archives. I was at the Fluid show and remember being impressed by the band (25 years later, I can still recall how charismatic John Robinson was).
